Looking at NeverBounce? Here's where we actually differ.

By EMCHEQ · Updated · 2 min read

NeverBounce (part of ZoomInfo) is built and positioned for cleaning very large lists at scale. If that's your exact use case, their infrastructure has a real track record for it. Here's what's actually true about the comparison, both ways.

What NeverBounce is known for

NeverBounce is widely used for bulk list cleaning, and being part of ZoomInfo means it's backed by a large company's infrastructure and sales data ecosystem. Its published accuracy figures, like every vendor's, come from its own testing methodology - we won't repeat a specific number here and ask you to take it over a competing one, because the publicly available figures across this entire category don't agree with each other.

Where EMCHEQ is actually different

  • We say Unknown when we mean it. A catch-all domain or an unresponsive server gets reported honestly, with the reason, rather than resolved into a confident-looking pass or fail.
  • Full evidence per result. Every verdict shows the individual checks behind it, not a single opaque score.
  • Mail security bundled in. DMARC/SPF/DKIM checks and phishing simulation in the same account as verification.
  • A real free tier. 100 verifications a month, no card, meant for testing your actual list's edge cases before you commit to anything.

Where we don't win - said plainly

If you're cleaning lists at very high volume and want the track record of infrastructure that's already proven at that scale, a bulk-cleaning specialist with a longer history has a real advantage there. We're a smaller, newer platform, and a procurement or infra-diligence process that weighs that heavily should weigh it.

The actual way to decide

Test both against the same real list - including whatever makes your list messy (old addresses, catch-all domains, role accounts). Compare the actual results and how clearly each explains them, not the marketing page.

Questions

Is EMCHEQ as accurate as NeverBounce?
We're not going to answer with a number - every vendor's public accuracy figure, NeverBounce included, comes from a different, non-comparable test. Run the same list through both and judge the actual results.
Can EMCHEQ handle the same volume as NeverBounce?
For most businesses, yes, through bulk upload or the API. If you're cleaning lists at very high enterprise volume on a regular cadence, that's worth testing directly rather than assuming either way.
Why would I switch from NeverBounce to a smaller company?
Only if something about ours - the honest Unknown reporting, the bundled mail-security tools, or the free tier for testing - actually matters more to you than an established vendor's scale. If it doesn't, NeverBounce is a reasonable choice.
