# About EMCHEQ

## What this is

EMCHEQ verifies email addresses - in real time, in bulk, and through an API - and checks the mail-security posture (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) of the domains you send from, including phishing-simulation testing. One account covers both, instead of a separate vendor relationship for each.

## Who it's built for

Most of this category is priced and built for enterprise procurement: compliance paperwork, account managers, contracts sized for six-figure sending volume. If that's genuinely what you need, a larger, longer-established platform is probably the right call, and we say so plainly on our [comparison pages](/compare/zerobounce-alternative) rather than pretending otherwise.

This is built for the small team or solo developer who needs the same real checks - not a smaller, worse version of them - without the enterprise sales process. A free tier generous enough to test on your own real data, an API you can call directly, and a dashboard that doesn't assume you have a dedicated deliverability team.

## How results are reported

Every verification result shows the checks behind it - syntax, domain, mail servers, disposable provider, role account - not just a score. When a result can't be confirmed (a catch-all domain, a server that won't answer), it's reported as Unknown or Probably valid, not quietly resolved into a confident-looking answer. That's a product decision, not a marketing line: see what it costs us in [pricing](/pricing), where we say the same thing about every competitor's accuracy claims, including our own.
